IM Scenery - EGYM - RAF Marham for MSFS24

Marham (IATA: KNF, ICAO: EGYM) is a Royal Air Force station near the village of Marham in the county of Norfolk, East Anglia, south of King's Lynn and Boston, and west of Norwich.

It is home to No. 138 Expeditionary Air Wing (138 EAW) and, as such, is one of the RAF's 'main operating bases'. Since 6 June 2018, it has been home to the fifth generation Lockheed Martin F-35B Lightning operated by No. 617 Squadron. No. 207 Squadron became the second Lightning squadron based at RAF Marham when it reformed on 1 August 2019 as the F-35 operational conversion unit (OCU).

The scenery features:

• Full night lighting including custom taxi lights using the airport lighting system features in the SDK
• Full custom ground poly
• Custom terrain which allows for accurate slopes on runways and taxiways
• Static F-35B Lightnings of 617 and 207 Squadron
• Static Canberra PR9 and Tornado GR4 gate guards

The static F-35s only appear on the ramps Monday to Friday for realism, and also to give those who would prefer non-statics an option.

The animated gates are proximity-triggered and will open when approaching close. When taxiing from RWY 05 to the first gate, you will need to get very close for it to open, as the trigger had to be moved due to close proximity to the hold short node — this is not the case coming from the other direction.

There are four HAS with animated doors, two in each HAS site. The HAS in the F-35 complex will animate as soon as you get close enough. The HAS in the GR4 site have a 30-second delay, allowing for more realistic operations with the GR4s, which would operate out of the HAS rather than the ramp. The animated HAS numbers are 45 and 49 in one site and 57 and 59 in the other. They are all individually numbered, both visually and by parking number.
